Dr. rer. nat. Dirk Schreckenberg

Dr. rer. nat. Dirk Schreckenberg war externer Doktorand der FAI von Oktober 2016 bis Januar 2019. Er promovierte publikationsbasiert bei Prof. Dr. Joachim Vogt (Korreferent Prof. Wolfgang Ellermeier, PhD) zum Thema Fluglärm, Belästigung und Lebensqualität.

Seit 1996 arbeitet er als Umweltpsychologe bei der ZEUS GmbH, Zentrum für angewandte Psychologie, Umwelt- und Sozialforschung, Hagen (www.zeusgmbh.de). Seit 1998 ist er Geschäftsführer des Forschungsunternehmens. Sein Themenschwerpunkt ist die Erforschung der Wirkung von Umgebungslärm insbesondere auf Lärmbelästigung, Schlafstörung, gesundheitsbezogene psychische und physische Lebensqualität. Hierzu führt er seit vielen Jahren Auftragsforschungsarbeiten zumeist für Bundesbehörden und –ministerien durch, ist an mehreren von der EU geförderten Forschungsprojekten beteiligt, berät internationale Gremien und Organisationen (u. a. Weltgesundheitsorganisation [WHO], Europäische Kommission, DG Environment) sowie nationale Stellen in verschiedenen Ländern (u.a. Niederlande, Schweiz, UK, USA) zu den Wirkungen von Lärm auf Menschen. Weiterhin beschäftigt er sich mit verkehrspsychologischen Fragestellungen, darunter Straßenverkehrssicherheit von Kindern und Dienstleistungsqualität im Öffentlichen Personenverkehr sowie mit sozialpsychologischen Themen, u. a. Wirkung von Alkoholmarketing auf Einstellung und Alkoholkonsum von Kindern und Jugendlichen.
