Skin Cell Tonic

The formation of wrinkles on the face with increasing age and/or emotional stress is a frequent topic in the media, especially in advertising, and many manufacturers of cosmetic products promise that their products would be particularly effective in preventing wrinkles through new active formulas and principles. In cooperation with Vegas Cosmetics Groß-Umstadt, the project investigated both subjectively and objectively (by means of image analysis) whether the application of the Skin Cell Tonic device reduces wrinkles in the skin. The aim of the project was to develop a methodology for efficacy verification. The boundary from psychological to medical research was not crossed. In the longer term, the methodology is to be extended to the field of non-verbal, emotional communication.
