Mr Penner worked as a scientific staff member in the research group Work and Engineering Psychology (FAI) at the Institute of Psychology at TU Darmstadt from April 1, 2017 to May 14, 2019.
In the period from April 2017 to December 2017, he investigated the human psychological approach to movement planning and execution within the interdisciplinary project CompLex. The overarching goal was to research the conditions and states under which, in the ever-advancing digitalisation of the world of work, keyword Industry 4.0, an equal cooperation between humans and machines can take place beyond mere automation.
From May 2018 until the end of his employment, he worked in the WaReIp project. The project pursues the goal of planning environmentally friendly and economically viable treatment and recirculation of wastewater flows in industrial parks. From a psychological point of view, this raises the question of possible stresses and strains on people in modern working environments such as a control room. In an industrial park system, it is the starting point for the efficient and error-free control and monitoring of complex water flows.
